Why does my practice need its own plan?

Dr. Wano · Recorded October 15, 2026. This transcript follows the edited video captions.

I think you can't apply a cookie-cutter approach to all dental practices, because every dentist is unique. Every landscape is, competitive landscape is unique. Every patient population is unique.

You can't look at the dental practice itself as isolated and working in a bubble. Each practice is working in specific market dynamics. It is the patient population in that area, state regulations.

Each state is a little bit different on how practices can operate, and then insurance in that specific region too. You could have larger employers that dominate that specific region that have provided certain dental insurances. So you might need to change your practice or the way you accept insurance or not based on that.

Taking all that into effect, it is looking at the system as a whole.
